Présentation
Pendant quatre nuits de juillet 1966, Juan-les-Pins devient un studio à ciel ouvert. Ella Fitzgerald, son trio et le grand orchestre de Duke Ellington y donnent une série de concerts dont Verve tirera ce double album.
La publication alterne les morceaux chantés, les pièces orchestrales et les rencontres entre Ella et le Duke. Son titre inscrit directement la Côte d’Azur dans la discographie mondiale.
